I spend a lot of time in groups. It's how I learn, how I stay accountable, and how I've built most of my closest friendships.
Tuesday Men's Club (TMC)
A men's group I've been part of for years. We meet to talk about what's actually going on in our lives. No sports, no surface stuff.
In February 2026, we're moving from monthly to weekly sessions. It's a big shift.
What we do
- Check-ins (how are you, really?)
- Session work (a topic or question we explore together)
- Accountability (what did you say you'd do? did you do it?)
Why it matters
Men don't have enough spaces to be honest with each other. TMC is that space for me.
Journeymen
A network of men's groups across the country. I'm involved in building the infrastructure and supporting new groups.
SSDG (Sunday Story Discussion Group)
A small group that meets Sunday mornings to discuss stories. Fiction, essays, whatever we're reading. Low-key, high-quality conversation.
David Whyte Study Group
A new group reading through David Whyte's Consolations Vol 2. We meet every other week to discuss an essay.
California Walk (Coming 2026)
Planning a long walk through California. More details to come.
Philosophy
I believe in:
- Community over solo - Most good things happen with other people
- Showing up consistently - The magic is in the repetition
- Holding space - Sometimes the best thing you can do is listen
Interested in starting a group? Get in touch. I'm happy to share what I've learned.
